My husband and I were first time home buyers. We were excited about purchasing a new home as well as scared about the uncertainties we were going to face. We met Debbie in April after viewing a home. We decided after viewing the home to wait a little while longer before making such a huge commitment. August came and we were ready to try to buy a home again. I contacted Debbie and told her about our plans to finally buy a home. After several phone calls we met Debbie on a Saturday to go and view several houses. At our last house she mentioned one that she thought we would be perfect in. She brought us over to the house and immediately I fell in love with it. It was an adorable house with a huge yard in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. After viewing the house we went to her office the very same day and wrote the contract.

Keep in mind we were first time home buyers and knew nothing about the home industry. Debbie was very knowledgeable in answering our many questions. The first time we met she gave us her cell phone number and told us to call her whenever we had any questions or concerns. Anytime you call Debbie she is always enthused to speak with you. She always went the extra mile to make sure you understand everything. If there was something she didn’t know she would find out and call you back in a timely manner. During the last week before our closing Debbie was very excited about what we, as home buyers, have accomplished. I feel honored to have had Debbie as our realtor. I would greatly recommend her to anyone who wants to buy or sell a home, especially first time home buyers.

My husband and I met Debbie Thorpe last April while looking for a retirement home in North Carolina. We had looked at a number of homes on the Internet and had narrowed our search down to a few homes that we wanted to look at. I had contacted Debbie early on a Sunday morning regarding the viewing of a particular home that we were interested in looking at that day or early the next morning since we had to go back to Maryland no later than the next afternoon.

Debbie made arrangements for us to view the house that same afternoon. She met us at the house, we went through the house had a short discussion and told Debbie that we would like to make an offer. Debbie immediately started the paperwork and told us that she would submit our offer and hopefully could have an answer for us either that evening or early the next day. Within a few hours of presenting our bid on the house Debbie called to let us know that the sellers had accepted our offer.

Since we were moving from out of town everything had to be handled either through the mail or on the phone. I can honestly say, that there was not one week in the process that went by that I did not hear from Debbie either by phone or by mail. Debbie stayed on top of everything for us so that we did not have to commute back and forth, in fact she even put us in touch with a local bank so that we could have accounts set up prior to us moving so that there would be one less thing that we would have to take care of when we moved.

Debbie made our purchasing of the house that we love so easy, my only wish is that everyone could have an agent like her. Debbie is not only a great agent to whom we respect very much, we also consider her a close friend and part of our extended family.

We would not hesitate to recommend Debbie to anyone that we hear about that is looking for help with relocating or just looking for something in a different location. We feel as though Debbie Thorpe goes beyond any expectations and is always there when you have any questions or any problem arises.

For well over a year my wife and I searched for a weekend lake retreat. Searching the internet lead me to Debbie Thorpe, whom we found to be an expert on the lake and the real estate surrounding it. From recommending a banker to handle the sale to a pest control company, she always knew who to call and actually took care of almost everything herself. On the day we closed the deal, Debbie took us out to lunch and gave us a charming "Welcome to the Lake" sign for our new lake home.

Even now we know we can call her if we have a question and recently did when we needed a tree removed from our property.
